From our family to yours, here are some of our favorite timeless recipes you’re sure to love.


Apple Crisp

  • 12 C. peeled and sliced mix of Northern Spy, Jonagold, and Empire

  • 1/3 C. flour

  • 2 C. sugar

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix and place in 9×13 inch pan.

Topping

  • 1 C. sugar

  • 1 C. flour

  • 3/4 C. oatmeal

  • 3/4 C. walnuts (optional)

  • 1/2 C. butter

Mix topping well with pastry cutter. Spread over apples and bake at 350 degrees until topping is brown and apples are done.


Easy Peach Crisp

  • 4 C. peaches, peeled and sliced

  • 3/4 C. sugar

  • 3/4 C. water

  • 1 Tbs. butter

  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

  • 2 Tbs. cornstarch mixed with 1/4 C. water

Topping

  • 1 C. oatmeal

  • 1/2 C. chopped almonds

  • 1/2 C. brown sugar

  • 1/4 C. butter or margarine

In a 3 qt. sauce pan combine peaches, sugar, 3/4 cup water, butter, and cinnamon. On medium heat, bring to boil. Stir in corn starch mixed with 1/4 cup water.

Continue stirring until thick and clear. Remove from heat and pour into an 8×8 in. baking pan or a deep dish 10 in. pie pan. Let cool. Add topping. Refrigerate until set.

Mix all Topping ingredients together with pastry cutter. Place in a Pyrex pan. Microwave for 2 minutes. Break apart while hot, let cool. Crumble evenly over peaches.

Fresh Blueberry Peach Crisp

Follow recipe for Easy Peach Crisp.  When peaches are cool, add 1/2 C. fresh blueberries.  Add topping. Refrigerate until set.


Apple Bars

  • 2 C. brown sugar

  • 1/2 C. margarine or butter

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 2 eggs

Mix above ingredients together. Then add in order:

  • 2 C. flour

  • 3 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 C. chopped and peeled Pristine apples

  • 1 C. chopped walnuts

Pour mixture into a greased 9 in. x 13 in. pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Add water 1 tsp. at a time to 1 C. powdered sugar to make a thin glaze. While cake is still warm spread glaze over cake and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Apple Butter Barbeque Sauce

  • 1 C. Wells Orchards Apple Butter

  • 1 ½ C. ketchup

  • ¾ tsp. ground cumin

  • 1 tsp. onion powder

  • 1tsp. garlic powder

  • ½ tsp. chili powder

  • Dash of fresh ground pepper

Stir all seven ingredients together. Great on meatballs, chicken or pork.


Raspberry-Jalapeno Cheese Spread

  • ¼ C. Wells Orchards raspberry-jalapeno jam

  • 1 (8oz.) package cream cheese, softened

  • Crackers

Spoon jam over cream cheese. Serve with crackers.
